ابتدأت نجوى زهير مسيرتها كممثله سنة 2000 عبر مشاركات في أعمال درامية في التلفزة وفي  2002 تحولت إلى السينما مع فيلم "عرائس الطين" وتتالت التجارب السنمائية ومنها "كلمة رجال" لمعز كمون والجايدة لسلمى بكار  وأخيرا مشاركتها المتميزة  في "الرجل الذي باع ظهره" للمخرجة كوثر بن هنية. قدمت للجهور العريض عبر مشاركتها في الأعمال الدرامية الرمضانية مثل "يامسهرني" للمنصف ذويب و"فلاش باك" من إخراج مراد بالشيخ. قامت نجوي زهير بخوض تجارب مختلفة، مثل تجربة  التنشيط الإذاعي سنة 2011 و2012 وكما كانت لها تجارب مميزة في المسرح آخرها مسرحية  "بلاتوه" من اخراج غازي الزغباني. تعتبر نجوى زهير من بين الممثلات المتميزات في جيلها

Najoua Zouhair a commencé sa carrière d'actrice en 2000 en participant à des œuvres dramatiques à la télévision, et en 2002, elle est passée au cinéma avec le film "Poupée d’argile", suivi d'expériences cinématographiques, dont "Parole d’hommes" de Moez Kammoun et « Al-Jaida ». de Salma Bakkar, et enfin sa participation distinguée  dans  "L'homme qui a vendu sa peau" réalisé par Kawthar Ben Hania. Elle a été présentée au grand public à travers sa participation à des fictions dramatiques Ramadanesques, tels que "Yamsaharni" de Moncef Dhouib et "Flashback" réalisé par Mourad Bechikh. Najwa Zouhair a vécu différentes expériences, notamment l’animation radio en 2011 et 2012, et elle a également eu des expériences distinguées dans le théâtre, dont la dernière était la pièce "Plateau" mise en scène par Ghazi Zaghbani. Najwa Zuhair est considérée comme l'une des actrices exceptionnelles de sa génération.
